For centuries, the Silk Road was the most important transcontinental connection between Asia and Europe. It was based on the exchange of commodities and also transferred knowledge from one culture to another. In the process, the region that is now Iran always played an important mediator role. In the year 2008, a group of thirty-two participants from Iran and five European countries embarked on a journey that intended to continue the tradition of exchanging goods, yeton a conceptual and cultural plane. The publication “Along the Silk Road” is the result of this journey. The book contains texts in German, English, and Arabic.
