City Portraits

This publication was created in the scope of the intercultural project “City Cultures in Focus,” which took place in various European cities in 2010 and 2011. Essentially, the investigation was carried out on three different levels, dealing with the perception of the user in his or her everyday life, the artists’ perception from the outside, and the self-perception of the local artists. This bookthus approaches the topic in very different ways, with the contributions mirroring a juxtaposition of very personal insights into the urban cultures of Bucharest, Istanbul, Kraków, and Vienna.Published in German, Polish, Romanian, Turkish, and English.
