In 2011, curated by_vienna was held in 21 galleries throughout the city, opening on 12 May and running until 18 June. Under the title EAST by SOUTH WEST, theproject took as its starting point the importance and relevance of Vienna for Eastern and Southeastern European contemporary art and artists. 21 curators were invited to develop special exhibitions for the participating galleries.
