Jitish Kallat – Here After Here After Here – Mumbai

For more than 25 years, Mumbai-based artist Jitish Kallat has explored the interplay of vastly different scales in his work – from the map to the cosmos. His interests lie in fluid geographies, sacred geometry, and the luminous interstices between the nation-state and outer space.
For the Jio World Plaza at the NMACC in Mumbai, he has created a twelve-metre-high installation that loops highway signage into abstract forms – traffic signs connecting not only cities, but entire planets and galaxies.
