360GRAZ Digital

With the opening of the permanent exhibition „The Story of Graz“ into the digital space, the GrazMuseum fulfils its goal of being a contemporary museum for everybody. The contents of the website follow those of the physical exhibition, from the first mention of Graz in 1128 until 2013, when Graz was selected for European Capital of Culture.

The detachment from the physical space of the museum not only makes the exhibition more accessible, but also opens up new and unique ways of experiencing the history of Graz.

The aim of the project was not only to show the physical exhibition on the screen, but to create new ways of interacting with the city’s rich history and to make full use of the possibilities of digital media. The result combines proven, functional interface design patterns with less common, newer ways of interacting with museum content.
