At Home

In 2009, as part of the EU project “2050 – Cultures of Living,” over 250 easy-to-use disposable cameras were passed out to interested citizens throughout Austria. The participants, who came from different age groups, social classes, vocations, and life situations, were asked to photographplaces that they associate with “home” over the course of 14 days. After all pictures were developed, they were evaluated by a specialized jury according to the criterion of representing a broadly based palette of Austrian housing culture. The selection of eighty photographs that emerged as a result was presented at an exhibition in India and also in the publication. The book was published in German, English, and Indian language.
